our story

Slow Pour Brewing Company began as a “what-if” conversation between Marty and his brother-in-law, John. A gifted home-brew kit helped spark an idea into a full-blown dream, and soon the pair were on the path to opening Gwinnett’s First Brewery.  While John perfected his recipes, Marty began scouting for the perfect location – and found it in an old garment factory just off the square in downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia.  Together, they pulled together a talented team of partners, consultants, and industry-savvy staff who helped bring their mission to life — and in September 2017, Slow Pour opened its doors.

From our beautifully inviting tasting room to the laid-back beer garden, Slow Pour is where conversation lives. Guests come for the creative, delicious beers, the friendly atmosphere, and the chance to slow down, laugh, and enjoy music with the people who matter most. At Slow Pour, we believe The Moment Matters — and that’s the story we continue to tell, one pour at a time.
